See our favorite home theater where catching a movie is easy and the location handy

Home theaters are common in luxury estates throughout the Sacramento area, but a 10,000-square-foot Mediterranean-style mansion in Loomis is home to one of our favorite of such amenities.

After writing about the highest priced residential listing in the Sacramento region in February 2022 — it was still on the market as of May 20 — the Sacramento Bee re-visited the estate at 2000 Creekside Lane for our Bee My Guest series spotlighting our favorite home features.

In this episode, we visit our favorite home theater room. See the video above for a close look.

Prior Bee My Guest articles can be found here, including our favorite view and our favorite backyard.

What we like about the home theater is where it’s situated in the house — off the living room, or “overflow entertaining area” — so it can be used for “multi-purpose” social gatherings, said listing agent Nick Sadek of Nick Sadek Sotheby’s International Reality.

The room offers great views as a bonus.

“You don’t feel you’re in a cooped-up theater room,” Sadek added, “because in a lot of theater rooms they used to do them just dark, in the corner of the house, but this, with nice views, it’s located in a nice spot of the house.”

If somebody wants to watch a movie, there are blackout shades that come down and make the theater room very dark, even during the day.
