Irvine, California--(Newsfile Corp. - October 21, 2021) - The Schaftlein Report recently hosted Tom Amenta as a featured guest.

Tom Amenta's breathtaking photo journal, The Twenty-Year War, is a collection of personal stories offering a raw, inside look at a war that spanned two decades. Dedicated to veterans of the global war on terror, The Twenty-Year War is a collection of experiences you won't read -- or see -- anywhere else. His book examines the journeys of American service members who fought and left behind the longest war in American history. The sobering realities of combat, the effort to transition post-military, and insight into what it's like to find purpose and meaning after hanging up the uniform so proudly worn through dirt, sweat, blood and tears will haunt you.

Mark Schaftlein had this to say about his guest, "I was honored to have Tom Amenta as a guest on The Schaftlein Report, Tom was a quest and authored a must read for every American." The full interview with Tom Amenta, author of The Twenty-Year War is available on all major podcast platforms.

Tom Amenta grew up in the Chicago area before enlisting into the United States Army on his 18th birthday. Following five years as a member of the 75th Ranger Regiment, including two combat tours in support of Operation Enduring Freedom, Tom earned his degree in political science from the University of Illinois.

Tom spent the next eight years as the COO of the veteran lifestyle apparel company Ranger Up, pioneering the veteran lifestyle apparel category and growing it into the premier company in the space, and passionately advocated for veterans' causes in many spaces, including lobbying Senate service committees. Leveraging the success at Ranger Up, Tom helped produce and starred in the only fully veteran-produced Hollywood movie, Range 15.

He is a passionate advocate for veteran entrepreneurship and assisting veterans in transition led to him author his first book, The Twenty-Year War, which can be found at TwentyYearWar.com.
