Saving Our Cities: Ex-inmate uses West Sacramento gardens to grow the next generation

Alfred Melbourne spent 18 years in prison and when he got out six years ago he knew he needed to make a change. Melbourne new spends his days at the corner of 5th and C streets in West Sacramento. Four years ago, Melbourne turned his vision into a reality by creating Three Sisters Gardens. His nonprofit organization provides much-needed nourishment for the community.
