CLEVELAND (AP) — Cavaliers center Jarrett Allen doesn't regret the harsh, eye-popping review he gave of his postseason performance a year ago. Looking back, he told the truth about himself — and the Cavs. In the aftermath of Cleveland being pummeled and knocked out in the first round of last year's playoffs by the much tougher New York Knicks, Allen admitted that he wasn't ready for the stage or the spotlight. "The lights were brighter than expected,” he said after the Knicks won the series 4-1.

The European Central Bank is likely to cut interest rates multiple times this year, with back-to-back moves in June and July one possible option, ECB policymaker Pierre Wunsch said on Friday. The ECB has clearly signalled it will likely start reducing its policy rate from a record high of 4% at its June 6 meeting but the road further ahead has been made more uncertain by strong U.S. inflation data. Wunsch, who often expressed relatively hawkish views in the past, said a June cut was all but certain and it was unlikely to be the ECB's only this year.

Hedge funds globally have turned the most bearish they've been on equities this year, a Goldman Sachs note said, as sticky inflation and renewed geopolitical concern have dragged stock markets lower. They ditched long positions and added short ones across all regions led by North America, Europe, and to a lesser extent developing Asia, said the note sent to investors on Thursday and seen by Reuters on Friday. A short or bearish position bets that an asset will decline in value, while a long position anticipates a price increase.

Incredible Plans Unveiled For ‘Stadium-Sized’ Inflatable Space Bases Where Astronauts Will Live On The Moon And Mars. Designs have been unveiled for inflatable space habitats the size of stadiums. The extraordinary expandable space stations are designed to be compact enough to fit inside rockets then dramatically expand once deployed in space. Space startup Max Space aims to send the habitats into orbit around Earth by 2026 aboard a SpaceX rocket. The bases offer a cost-effective alternative to the conventional "tin can" module designs, which typically involve smaller modules linked together. The company plans to launch a 700 cubic feet prototype in 2026, followed by a 3,531 cubic feet module in 2027 and a substantial 35,314 cubic feet module by 2030. Max Space claims that the habitats could float in orbit's micro-gravity or even be set up on Mars or on the Moon surfaces. Potential customers for these habitats include pharmaceutical companies, commercial space stations, and movie studios interested in filming in space. Max Space plans to launch a test module, about the size of two suitcases, which will expand to 700 cubic feet within two years.

Easing concerns over a broad Middle East conflict will likely continue to pressure Treasuries, which have sold off for much of the week on rising concerns that persistent inflation will prevent the Federal Reserve from cutting interest rates this year. A number of Fed officials have said this week that they do not feel the urgency to cut rates given the strength of the U.S. economy and labor market. Minneapolis Fed President Neel Kashkari told Fox News Channel late Thursday that he also wants to be "patient," with the first rate cut "potentially" not appropriate until next year.
