Sacramento Police increase patrols on Stockton Blvd. after rash of robberies targeting women

The Sacramento Police Department is increasing its presence along the Stockton Boulevard business corridor after a rash of robberies this week. "For the last two days, we've responded to a string of strong-arm robberies," said Karl Chan, Sacramento police public information officer. "Four to be exact, occurring during the daytime and evening hours." The victims have all been older women of various ethnicities in their 50s to 70s. No major injuries have been reported.
