Sacramento farmers market is getting a makeover. Here’s what is changing

Midtown Farmers Market, a popular Sacramento weekend destination, will kick off its 10th season in April with a makeover.

In just two weeks, the outdoor midtown market starting at 1050 20th Street will debut new destinations, hundreds of vendors, weekend workshops and an interactive map, Midtown Association wrote in a March statement. The market now extends south to Capitol Avenue, joining J, K and L Streets from 19th to 21st Streets.

The upcoming market destinations will be organized by products. For example, you’ll find brioche rolls and mochi donuts on Savory Street and candles and custom tie-dye shirts at the Merchant Market.

Here are the other upcoming destinations, according to Midtown Association:

  • Artisan Alley

  • Boutique Boulevard

  • Market square

  • Producers Plaza

  • Street food Sacramento

With “more vendors than ever before,” you’ll still be able to stock up on fresh fruit and produce. Plus, the live music stays.

A beer and wine garden will be staged on the second Saturday of every month, starting in May.
