Sacramento deputies arrest man after investigation into serial indecent exposure

Sacramento County sheriff’s deputies arrested a man Friday on suspicion of exposing himself multiple times to several victims, including at least one minor.

In a news release, the Sacramento County Sheriff’s Office said Garett Lamar Wallace, 31, a county resident, was taken into custody. Law enforcement suspect him of exposing himself to seven victims, with ages ranging from 12 to 48 years old. The Sheriff’s Office described Wallace as a registered sex offender.

Wallace was arrested on a felony warrant and booked into the Sacramento County Main Jail just after 7 p.m. Friday. He is ineligible for bail and faces six charges for lewd acts with a child under the age of 14, indecent exposure and molesting a child under 18, according to jail records.

In the news release, officials with the Sheriff’s Office described the crimes as “a series of separate and disturbing incidents involving public masturbation and ejaculation.”

The investigation into the indecent exposure incidents remains ongoing and the Sheriff’s Office is asking anyone with information to call 916-874-3918.
