Royals are bringing back their full retro powder-blue uniforms for a limited time
A year ago, the Royals went halfway with the return of a powder-blue look that fans love.
For certain games, the Royals donned powder blue jerseys but wore white pants. That’s not quite the look of the 1980s era Royals, who wore powder blue pants, too.
Well, that look is coming back this season.
The Royals on Friday morning shared a short video on Twitter saying they’d heard the fans who wanted the full powder-blue uniforms.

It will be a limited return.
A Royals official said the team will wear them on opening day and there is “a slight possibility they may be used another time in the season.”
The Royals shared photos of players modeling the new look. Here are pictures of catcher Salvador Perez and pitcher Brady Singer.
Uniform ad
The Royals will be wearing advertising at some point on the uniforms (in addition to the Nike swoosh), Dave D’Marko of Fox 4 reported earlier this week. He added the Royals have not made an official announcement on a “specific sponsor patch.”
Clarification, the team representative said you will see the patches in MLB this year and the Royals will do it very tastefully. But the Royals have not made official announcement about specific sponsor patch at this time.
