'The Roof Is on the Ground': Powerful Winds From Hurricane Ian Sweep Through Port Charlotte, Florida

Hurricane Ian made landfall in mainland Florida on Wednesday, September 28, with estimated wind speeds of 145 mph, according to the National Hurricane Center.

Footage captured by Bailey Uttermohlen shows a dislodged roof as strong winds and sheets of rain sweep through Port Charlotte, Florida. “The roof is on the ground,” Uttermohlen says in the background of the video.
