Retro vibes: A vintage clothing shop is set to open in Columbia’s Five Points

Columbia’s Five Points is about to get a little more fashionable.

Pannerpete Vintage, a vintage clothier that often appears at Soda City Market and other pop-up events, is planning to open a brick-and-mortar store. According to a Wednesday Instagram story post from the business, Pannerpete will have a shop at 738 Harden St. in Five Points. It is aiming to open in mid-March.

Pannerpete noted on Instagram that it will continue to do Soda City on Saturdays, as well as other pop-ups. The business is known for its vintage fashions, including shirts, pants, shoes, sweaters, dresses, bags, accessories and more.

The vintage clothing shop will come to a section of Harden Street that has been reinvigorated in the Five Points shopping and nightlife district that is just east of the University of South Carolina. It will be next door to Swiff, the luxury streetwear shop that opened last year at 736 Harden St. And it will be a couple doors down from All Good Books, an independent bookstore and cafe that is being prepped at 734 Harden St.
