Former Toronto Blue Jays star Kelly Gruber was arrested for driving while intoxicated in Texas last Saturday.

His arrest affidavit says that Gruber’s turn signal had been “on for a while” without him making a turn before he was caught going nearly 20 MPH over the speed limit — prompting an Austin police officer to pull Gruber over on suspicion of DWI, according to the Austin American-Statesman.

Gruber reportedly admitted to consuming alcohol prior to driving, but refused to take a field sobriety test, have blood drawn, or breathe into a breathalyzer. He was booked into the Travis County Jail and released on $3,000 bail, the affidavit states.

The 57-year-old spent nine seasons with the Blue Jays, earning All-Star nods in 1989 and 1990, while adding a Gold Glove and Silver Slugger award before winning a World Series championship with Toronto in 1992.
