New Release Rundown: October 2017

Welcome to New Release Rundown, where we run down the most anticipated movies hitting theaters in October 2017.

October 6th features the limited release of indie drama “The Florida Project,” as well as the wide releases of survivalist adventure “The Mountain Between Us,” animated film “My Little Pony: The Movie,” and long anticipated “Blade Runner” sequel “Blade Runner 2049.”

Friday the 13th gets scary with the wide release of horror flick “Happy Death Day,” along with biographical drama “Marshall,” action thriller “The Foreigner” starring Jackie Chan, and a limited run of biopic “Breathe” with Andrew Garfield.

October 20th sees sci-fi disaster movie “Geostorm” hit the big screen in addition to mystery thriller “The Snowman,” wildfire drama “Only The Brave,” and spooky comedy “Boo! 2: A Madea Halloween.”

We end October on the 27th with the limited release of arthouse satire “The Square,” and the nationwide launch of “Saw” franchise continuation “Jigsaw,” psychological thriller “All I See Is You,” war drama “Thank You For Your Service,” and the latest Coen brothers offering “Suburbicon” directed by George Clooney.
