Now it doesn't have to be a holiday to get your hands on Reese's shapes.

It’s no secret that we candy lovers anxiously await the next holiday when Reese’s releases its shaped peanut butter cups. Because, everyone knows, the Reese’s shapes are the superior Reese’s.

Whether you opt for the eggs, pumpkins, hearts, trees, or one of the other festive shapes, Hershey’s only lines our pantries with shaped Reese’s cups a handful of times a year. Or, at least, they used to.

If you’re running out of your final holiday Reese’s trees of the season and can't find the Valentine’s Day candy in stores yet, we've got good news: Reese’s is rolling out a new product that will tide you over. For the first time ever, Reese’s is launching a new shape that’s not holiday-themed.

Reese's Launches New Peanut Shapes

This month, Reese’s quietly rolled out a new shape that’s only available for a limited time. And what did Reese’s choose as its first-ever, non-holiday chocolate peanut butter candy shape? Why, a peanut, of course.

The new Reese’s Peanut Butter Peanut Shapes are “currently available in select stores for a limited time only,” according to a company spokesperson.

So far, they’ve been spotted at Walmart, where they’re available in both traditional and King sizes, according to Instagram account @markie_devo. These are not a Walmart-exclusive product, so check your local grocery or convenience stores, as they should be rolling out at more locations now.

However, because they’re a limited-time product, they’re likely only available while supplies last. So, if you already know you like the Reese’s shapes (and who doesn’t?), you’ll want to stock up when you find the new Peanut shapes because once they’re gone, they’re gone. And, based on the package photo, these look like they have the higher peanut-butter-to-chocolate ratio that we know and love from a Reese’s shape.

But, as we’ve come to know with Reese’s, the package picture doesn’t always resemble what the candy looks like inside. That’s what’s landed them in a lawsuit over the Halloween Pumpkin Shapes picture on the package, which features a carved pumpkin candy when the actual candy is just smooth chocolate. So, don’t expect these peanut-shaped candies to necessarily have the adorable peanut design on them when you open them up.

But, because we're not eating a Reese’s shape for the design, but rather because of its exceptional flavor, we’ll certainly be running to the store to find these new shapes ASAP.
