Reeling from Caldor Fire damages, Sierra-at-Tahoe's reopening date still in air

A popular ski resort for locals across the Tahoe Basin remains closed for repairing damages caused by the Caldor Fire that incinerated hundreds of thousands of acres. At the same time, snow is expected to fall Sunday night in the area. Sierra-at-Tahoe posted on its Facebook page that crews have been working nonstop to ensure the resort can reopen. The reopening may however not be a complete one, as it remains unclear how much terrain will be able to reopen because of damages caused by the wildfire, which sparked in August. "We’re not giving up nor are we backing down," the resort said in its post.
