Red Bull Fires Junior Driver Juri Vips After Using N-Word on Stream

Red Bull Racing Formula 2 driver Juri Vips's contract has been terminated, the racing team announced Tuesday. This comes a week after Vips was suspended for using a racial slur during a live stream.

The stream—which was recorded—showed Vips using the N-word while playing Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 with F2 driver Liam Lawson. Lawson can be heard laughing after. After the video surfaced, Red Bull quickly suspended the driver pending an investigation. On Tuesday, the team announced that it has completed its investigation.

"Following its investigation into an online incident involving Juri Vips, Oracle Red Bull Racing has terminated Juri's contract as its test and reserve driver," a tweeted statement read. "The team do [sic] not condone any form of racism."
