Imagine how nervous high school football players are before their signing ceremonies. Not only are they revealing to the world where they hope to play football for the next four seasons, they also don’t want to do anything embarrassing in front of a large group of people while announcing that decision.
It’s a lot of pressure. And sometimes things don’t exactly go according to plan. In the case of linebacker Rosendo Louis, he accidentally said “South Florida” while announcing his commitment to South Carolina.

He botched it at first saying “South Florida” in a pretty comical moment at the ceremony.

You can see the horror on Louis’ face as soon as he realized what he did. And the mistake is understandable. Louis is a native of Deerfield Beach, Florida, so he was simply thinking of his home state. It’s not like he’s a native of Idaho and accidentally mentioned the AAC school instead of the SEC school that’s getting his signature.
The three-star recruit is ranked as the No. 19 inside linebacker in the country according to Rivals. We’re guessing that once coach Will Muschamp and his staff got Louis’ letter of intent, they were laughing about his mixup too.
