Katie Thurston And Blake Moynes Have Officially Called It Quits
  • After getting engaged in the season 17 finale, Katie Thurston and Blake Moynes have officially broken up.

  • The pair announced the news in matching Instagram posts.

  • Their post-show relationship was one of the shortest in Bachelorette history.

After Katie Thurston's journey as The Bachelorette wrapped up in one epic finale episode, there was still one big question: Are she and Blake still together?

The couple got engaged in a beautiful outdoor ceremony, with hosts Tayshia Adams and Kaitlyn Bristowe cheering them on. Riding off into the sunset together (literally) seemed to set this couple up for success, even as they prepared to make their long-distance relationship public for the first time.

Still, a lot has happened since season 17's conclusion aired in August. Keep reading for all the details on Katie and Blake's post-show romance:

Who were Katie's final two guys?

After one of the most intense hometowns episodes ever, there were just two guys left in Katie's finale episode: Justin Glaze and Blake Moynes.

Fan favorite Greg Grippo was knocked out of the running after his blowout fight with Katie. "Greg felt he got some sort of assurance from Katie he was the one, or felt he’d be picked, yet he couldn’t understand why she was still involved with other men," Reality Steve said on his blog.

"It’s a meltdown," he added. "They have a blowout fight during the overnight dates which essentially causes him to leave the show and it upsets Katie a lot." Apparently, Steve's source said "it’s the worst fight we’ve ever seen on this show."

The fight "causes him to ultimately leave the show at that point," meaning Greg didn't even make it to fantasy suites. So that left artist Justin and outdoorsy Blake as Katie's final two guys.

Here's Justin:

But Justin's hometown date didn't go as planned, since his parents (Mark and Deborah) couldn't make it.

And here's Blake:

Blake brought his sister, Taylor, to his hometown date (plus mom Emily and brother Cody), and Katie seemed to get along with his fam really well. So, the last episode saw Katie wrestle with the difficult decision of deciding between her two finalists.

What happened during the finale?

Katie got engaged! She ultimately decided to follow her heart and go all-in with Blake. After a super awkward break-up with Justin, Katie wasted no time telling Blake she was ready to take the next step with him.

And the season ended with a beautiful proposal.

Are Katie and Blake together after filming?

Sadly, these two didn't last. Filming wrapped at the end of April, and Katie and Blake called off their engagement after six months together on Oct. 25.

"It is with mutual love and respect that we have decided to go our separate ways," the pair wrote in matching Instagram posts. "We are so grateful for the moments we shared together and the entire journey that has unfolded this year, but we ultimately have concluded that we are not compatible as life partners, and it is the most caring choice for both of us to move forward independently."

"We ask for kindness and privacy as we both navigate this transition. Both of us will forever want the best for one another and ask you to please support us in our decision," they continued.

Their post-show romance was one of the shortest in Bachelorette history, according to Instagram account @bachelordata:

Bummer—here's hoping the next Bachelorette, Michelle Young, has better luck with her future beau.
