Get Ready For A Spine-Tingling Weekend of Volleyball and Fun

Get ready for an absolute THRILLER of a weekend! Swan Hills School is about to unleash the annual Halloween Howler volleyball tournament, and you're invited to join in on the spine-tingling fun!

This Friday at 8:30 AM, the Swan Hills Grizzlies Senior Boys are going head-to-head with Kinuso, and the energy is through the roof! The Grizzlies Senior Girls are up next, ready to dominate the court against the Kinuso Senior Girls. The excitement is off the charts as we dive into a full day of action, with a grand total of 13 heart-pounding games, concluding at 7:20 PM.

The party doesn't stop there! Friday's festivities are rolling into the night with a spine-chilling Halloween dance hosted by the Division 3/4 Students' Union (SU). Get your dancing shoes ready because DJ Josh Davies is back to spin some eerie tracks. It's a Halloween dance, so feel free to wear your spooktacular costumes! Tickets are only $4 until lunchtime on Thursday, but if you're fashionably late, they'll be $5 at the door.

But hold onto your broomsticks because the tournament isn't over yet! Saturday promises another action-packed day with 13 more games from 8:30 AM to 7:20 PM. You won't want to miss a second of it!

And the treats keep coming! There will be a delicious concession at the school on both tournament days, and the best part? All proceeds are going to support our incredible athletes by supplementing the student paid team fees.

Speaking of treats, the SU is cooking up something special with a raffle table on Friday from 11:00 AM to 9:00 PM. Prizes galore await, so make sure to try your luck.

The Halloween Howler is the SU's BIGGEST fundraiser of the year. They're on a mission to improve the Student's Lounge and have some exciting plans. Neon signs, anyone? One that reads "Grizzly Lounge" and possibly another with the school motto "Together We Can; Together We Will." They're also eyeing up some cozy tables for the lounge and foyer and are even considering hiring students from the school's woodworking class to build them! If they have enough left over, the SU would also like to fund an activity for students in grades 7 – 12, such as a field trip, a trip to the water park, or bowling.

This is where YOU come in! Our incredible Swan Hills community and local businesses have shown a fantastic level of support with donations of funds and prizes for the raffle table. Every contribution counts, and the SU is still welcoming donations to help them achieve their goals.

So, summon your friends and family, and come on out to cheer on the Grizzlies this weekend. Don't forget to throw your support behind the SU's fundraising efforts—it's for an absolutely spooktacular cause!

Go Grizzlies!
