Dual Eye

The latest trend in beauty is making your glam be all about the eyes. Dual-eye makeup can range from subtle to bold, or anywhere in between. If you're looking to make a statement for New Year's, this look is perfect.

The colors used in dual-eye makeup are totally your choice. You can apply light hues of sand or champagne or darker hues, and separate them with contouring and highlighting techniques, to create depth and dimension.

For this look, Greenberg begins by priming the lids with Urban Decay Original Eyeshadow Primer Potion." After you've primed the lids, you can use two contrasting shades in any colorful eyeshadow palette, I personally like the Galexie Glister x Janice Daoud," says the makeup artist. "I use one color on the lid and the bottom lash line, and do the same with the open space for the second color."

After applying both eyeshadows, Greenberg primes the face with LYS Beauty's Think Bright Glow + Hydrate Serum, before applying Armani Luminous silk foundation to even out the skin tone. "After applying your foundation, use a setting spray like Urban Decay All Nighter Long-Lasting Makeup Setting Spray, this will help your look last," says Greenberg. "Finish off with a nude, matte lip color like Bite Beauty Power Move Creamy Matte Lip Crayon in Cava."

Bold Lips

"To recreate Tracee Ellis Ross' flawless look, begin with a clean face and apply a serum like PUREVOC Serum to lock hydration into the skin before laying in a foundation," says Greenberg.

Next, apply a light coverage foundation with the LYS Foundation Brush, to allow your skin to shine through. To add a natural glow apply Blighlighter in The Nude One.

Greenberg then recommends using a skin-toned matte eyeshadow all over the lid, before lining the top inner lash line with an opaque black eyeliner. Following this, apply a volumizing mascara like Westmore's Red Carpet Lashes, and fill in brows using a fine liner pencil to mimic small, defined hairs.

"For the signature bold lip, make sure your lips are soft and exfoliated," says Greenberg. "Use a sugar scrub or manually polish your lips with a toothbrush, then apply a lip moisturizer and line your lips with a clear liner before adding a matte, corally-red lipstick like Flower Beauty Petal Pout Lip Color in Poppy Pout."

One of the hottest trends in makeup is using different colors on the lash line and outer corners to draw attention to the eye area. If you want to make your eyes stand out for the New Year, this look is for you.

Start by applying a natural finish foundation like LYS Beauty Triple Fix Foundation. "After applying the foundation, add a pop of color to the cheeks and nose using Blighlighter in The Cherry One, and a simple lip gloss, like Minori's in Cozy, to allow the natural lip color to shine through," says the makeup artist.

Next, moving on the eyes. "Start with an eye primer, then apply a natural finish skin-toned shadow and add a pop of highlight in the corner of the eyes," says Greenberg. "Use a bright opaque eyeliner like Kulfi Beauty's Underlined Eye Liner in Rain Check to line the top of the lash line and then draw a line from the corner of the eye and taper out. Finish the look with lengthening mascara."

Smoky Eye

Smoky eyes are one of the best ways to take any New Year outfit from fierce to fiercer — even if it's just ripped jeans and a tee. The key to pulling off a smokey eye is knowing exactly what to do with that brown or black pencil so you don't look like you've been punched in the eye.

"To recreate this look, start by applying a hydrating aloe-based product like Alpyn's Triple Vitamin C Brightening Bounce Cream, then apply a medium coverage foundation to prep the skin," says Greenberg. "Next, add a natural flush of color using Blighlighter in The Pink One, on the apples of the cheeks, and pair with a sheer lip gloss like Fenty's Gloss Bomb Universal Lip Luminizer in Fenty Glow."

To replicate Rashida Jones's dramatic, smoky eye, Greenberg recommends being minimal on the shadow, but bold with the liner. "Prep the eye area using an eye primer on the base of the lid and apply a neutral matte eyeshadow," says the makeup artist. "Next, use Kjaer Weis dark brown kohl eyeliner to line the lash line, on the top and the bottom." Following this, Greenberg smudges the liner using the Laura Mercier Smudge Brush to soften the lines. "On top of the liner, use a medium brown shimmery eyeshadow and lightly brush over the softened eyeliner, to add more dimension," says Greenberg. "Finish off with a volumizing mascara and a brow gel to give your brows a sheen."

Shimmery Eyeshadow

Shimmery eye makeup and New Year's go hand-in-hand. I have no shame in admitting that I'll probably be pulling out a sequin outfit yet again this year, and if you'll be doing the same, shimmery eyeshadow is perfect!

"This look can be achieved by muting out the makeup with more matte, natural finishes on the skin and lips," says Greenberg. "The bold eye should take the stage."

Start by applying a tinted moisturizer or velvety finish light coverage foundation, like ILIA's True Skin Serum Foundation to the face. Next, add a sheer blush, like Blighlighter on the cheekbones, and apply a dusty mauve, neutral matte lipstick like Rare Beauty Lip Souffle Matte Cream Lipstick in Fearless.

"Brows are the frame to this look so define your brows with a liner and then fill them in with a brow gel," says Greenberg. "I Iike to use Uoma Beauty's Brow Fro Kit."

For the eyes, the makeup artist starts by applying primer all over the lid, up to the brow bone. "Next, I apply a blue eyeshadow; I like to use Milk Makeup Color Chalk in Yo-Yo. Following this, I layer the eyeshadow with Danessa Myricks Beauty Colorfix Eye, Cheek and Lip Cream Pigment in magnetic.″

To finish the look, Greenberg adds a strip of false lashes to help enhance the eyes. You can also layer your lashes with at least two coats of thickening mascara, if you don't want to apply false lashes.

Monochrome Glow

New Year's is the perfect occasion to rock glowing makeup. This monochrome creation will take your glow to the next level, and it's really easy to achieve.

For this look, Greenberg recommends to start by applying Nars Soft Matte Complete Foundation all over the face and eyelids. Next, add Jamie Makeup Blighlighter in The Coral One to the apples of the cheeks and bridge of the nose. For the lips, apply a super shiny nude finish gloss like Tower28 Shine On Lip Jelly in Cashew.

For the monochrome matte eye makeup, begin by defining your brows using Brow Down Studios Precision Brow Pencil then apply Smashbox Photo Finish Lid Primer all over the eyelid.

"This look will need two to three various shades of warm, neutral eyeshadows," says Greenberg. "I use Mented's Everyday Eyeshadow Palette; I start with the deepest shade at the base of the lid and then apply a lighter tone directly above, reaching right beneath the start of your brow bone." Next, the makeup artist uses a blending brush to blend the eyeshadow in small quick circles. Finish the look with a deep brown (not black) liner and a rich black mascara.
