Are you a bona fide Gucci freak? An Alessandro Michele disciple?

Is your wardrobe a glorious Guccification of furry back Princetowns, GG Marmont prints and bamboo handle bags? Have you decked your house in the Italian label’s debut homeware line (launched in September), stocked up on the latest Adidas collab and set an alert to shop the upcoming Harry Styles collection?

If then, dear Gucci geek, you happen also to own a pet, then I might just have some happy-making news to assuage those Glasto blues.

For Gucci has today launched its debut pet collection and it’s a real (doggie) treat.

Park walks just got an upgrade courtesy of collars, harnesses and leashes which come in a mix and match of plain leather, GG monogram or stripe, embellished with studs and the interlocking G logo. For the jet-set pet, there are GG monogram carriers chic enough to moonlight as handbags and hard-sided cases with removable ceramic feeding bowls and handles for easy transport.

Those with their eye on Krufts best dressed will be pleased to know that doggie and kitty pet-a-porter spans everything from monogram knit vests and polos, to t-shirts, pink knits and cosy coats. Much of the dinky “apparel” coordinates with the main line ready-to-wear, allowing for some owner-pet twinning moments.

Pooches picky about where they perch will also be delighted to know their humans can now order them a bespoke miniature Gucci couch for lounging, coordinating feeding mats and feeding bowls that come with silver cloche lids - perfect for that big doggie dinner reveal.

The Gucci pet collection is available now and the price range is £135-£2990. Gucci.com
