Ratings: Scrapped ‘FBI’ Finale Finally Airs to Nearly 7 Million Viewers

CBS’ “FBI” viewers finally got to see the Season 4 finale that was pulled at the last minute earlier this year after a school shooting in Uvalde, Texas. Instead, it aired Tuesday night as Season 5’s third episode, and it seems audiences’ interests were piqued.

The episode involves the son of Jeremy Sisto’s character, Jubal, and his reluctance to provide information about a classmate with ties to a massive gun heist. It fared quite well and was by far the most-watched program of the night with a 0.6 rating among the advertiser-coveted 18-49 demographic and 7 million total viewers at 8 p.m.

However, “FBI” was slightly edged out of the top demo ratings spot by NBC’s “The Voice,” which managed a 0.7 as viewers tuned in to see the coaches battle it out to finalize their teams during the last of the blind auditions.

Here’s how the rest of primetime broke down across the major broadcasters Tuesday:

ABC, CBS and NBC tied for first in ratings with an average 0.5 rating in the key demo. CBS was first in total viewers with an average of 6.1 million, according to official live plus same-day Nielsen data.

NBC was second in total viewers with an average of 4.4 million, and Fox came in third with 2.2 million. Fox was fourth in ratings with an average 0.2 in the demo, and ABC was fourth in total viewers with an average of 2 million.

On CBS, “FBI” aired to a 0.6 demo rating and 7 million total viewers at 8 p.m. At 9, “FBI: International” drew a 0.5 demo rating and 6 million total viewers. “FBI: Most Wanted” closed out the night with a 0.4 and 5.3 million total viewers at 10.

As for NBC, “The Voice” hit a high note with a 0.7 demo rating and 6.5 million total viewers at 8 p.m. At 9, “La Brea” took home a 0.4 in the demo and 3.9 million total viewers. “New Amsterdam” ended the night with a 0.3 demo rating and 2.8 million total viewers at 10 p.m.

Fox began primetime with “The Resident,” which mustered a 0.3 demo rating and 2.7 million total viewers at 8 p.m. At 9, “Monarch” raked in a 0.2 demo rating and 1.6 million total viewers.

As for ABC, “Bachelor in Paradise” courted a 0.5 in the demo and 2.1 million total viewers at 8 p.m. At 10, “The Rookie: Feds” managed a 0.3 demo rating and 1.8 million total viewers.

The CW was fifth in ratings with an average 0.0 in the demo and in total viewers with an average of 249,000. “Leonardo” had a 0.0 and 332,000 total viewers at 8, and “Devils” got a 0.0 and 166,000 total viewers at 9.

Neither Fox nor The CW air primetime programming at 10.

Among the Spanish-language networks, Univision was first with a 0.4 in the demo and 1.4 million total viewers across primetime. “La Herencia, Un Legado de Amor” received a 0.4 demo rating and 1.3 million total viewers at 8 p.m. “Los Ricos También Lloran,” which aired from 9 to 11, got a 0.4 in the demo and 1.4 million total viewers.

Telemundo came in second, averaging a 0.2 demo rating and 903,000 total viewers. “Éxatlon,” which aired from 7 to 9, managed a 0.3 demo rating and 995,000 total viewers. “Fuego del Destino” aired to a 0.2 demo rating and 834,000 total viewers from 9 to 10. “Infiel: Historia de Un Engaño” closed out the night with a 0.2 demo rating and 930,000 total viewers from 10 to 11.
