Ranch shares behind-the-scenes look at how it makes olive oil

Temecula Olive Oil company is family-owned and operated and makes 100 percent California extra virgin olive oil on its olive ranch.

The company posted a few TikTok videos to give a behind-the-scenes look at how it makes its fresh-squeezed olive oil.

In a viral video with over 1.3 million views, thousands of black and green olives were squished into pulp by a giant metal wheel. The pulp was then transported to another piece of equipment where it dripped olive oil into a basin to be retrieved by a worker.

“I wouldn’t have guessed this is how it works this is so cool,” one user commented.

“Why did I forget olive oil is from olives,” another said.

“I wouldn’t be able to resist that delicious olive paste,” someone wrote.

Give your home office a much-needed upgrade with these must-haves:

Temecula revealed in a follow-up video that they compost the leftover pulp to use as nutrients for the trees growing in the olive ranch. Pretty cool.

“We practice regenerative agriculture and grow and harvest a wide variety of olives to bring you our unique blends of California olive oils,” the company stated. “That’s the only way we can ensure the full, fresh, rich flavor of our pure extra virgin California olive oils year after year.”
