Ralf Rangnick press conference: How to watch Manchester United’s new interim manager address the media

Ralf Rangnick will hold his first Manchester United press conference this morning after being granted a work permit for his move to English football.

The 63-year-old was not in the dugout when Arsenal travelled to Old Trafford last night, but will take charge for the match against Crystal Palace on Sunday.

Michael Carrick once again led the side against the Gunners, producing a 3-2 win, having already been at helm for the win over Villarreal and the 1-1 draw at Stamford Bridge. Carrick announced after the game that he would be leaving the club after more than 15 years as a player and coach.

Rangnick will be interim manager until the end of the season, but he will still be involved at the club beyond that as part of a two-year consultancy role.

“I am excited to be joining Manchester United and focused on making this a successful season for the club. The squad is full of talent and has a great balance of youth and experience,” Rangnick said earlier this week.

“All my efforts for the next six months will be on helping these players fulfil their potential, both individually and, most importantly, as a team. Beyond that, I look forward to supporting the club’s longer-term goals on a consultancy basis.”

Details of when Rangnick will speak to the media for the first time have been confirmed, and here’s everything you need to know to follow along.
