Six people were killed and about 24 others were seriously hurt in a mass shooting at a Fourth of July parade in the Chicago suburb of Highland Park, Illinois, on Monday, according to officials. Highland Park police are still searching for the gunman, who they described as a man between the ages of 18 and 20. Five people -- all adults -- died at the scene and a sixth victim died at a hospital, said Lake County Coroner Jennifer Banek.

A U.S. analysis of Israeli and Palestinian investigations has determined that gunfire from Israeli positions likely killed Palestinian-American journalist Shireen Abu Akleh in May but there was "no reason to believe" her shooting was intentional, the State Department said Monday.
