The first trailer for A Quiet Place: Day One has been released.
The prequel movie is set to take fans back to the original alien invasion, before the world descended into the post-apocalyptic state of 2018's A Quiet Place and its 2020 sequel.
The new movie introduces characters Sam (Lupita Nyong'o) and Eric (Joseph Quinn) as they're thrown together in New York City during the invasion.

In the trailer, we see flashforwards to the original two movies, before going back to New York as Sam walks through the city with her cat. However, it's not long before the aliens shoot down from the sky, as snippets of the terrifying invasion are shown.
Speaking about the storyline in a new interview with Entertainment Weekly, Nyong'o referenced the original movie's family dynamic as she explained: “When you have a family, there is an innate expectation that they will want to stick together.
“We don't have that in this film. We have these disparate individuals who collide into each other's lives, and it is at a very pivotal time for the world.
"How do they negotiate survival together? What we get is really interesting — and even surprising — chemistry in the characters that meet each other along the way.”
Quinn added: “The script is obviously set in the world that we know, but it's very much a film about these two characters who are lost and trying to negotiate their fates.
"There are also some wonderful other characters in the film who Sam encounters, but the bulk of it is Eric and Sam in their mutual acceptance of this bleak, more quiet, new reality.”
A Quiet Place: Day One will see Pig's Michael Sarnoski take over the directing reins from John Krasinski, with Hereditary's Alex Wolff also set to star, while original A Quiet Place Part II star Djimon Hounsou is returning.
A Quiet Place: Day One will be released in US and UK cinemas on June 28.
