Queen Elizabeth II met with U.S. President Joe Biden and his wife, Dr. Jill Biden, during a reception at the G7 Summit on Friday.

The reception, which was held at The Eden Project in England, was hosted by British Prime Minister Boris Johnson. Other members of the royal family, including Prince Charles, Camila, Duchess of Cornwall, Prince William and Kate Middleton were also on the event's guest list.

The Queen shared several photos from the event in a post on the official Royal Family Instagram account Friday.

"As Head of State, Her Majesty The Queen regularly speaks to world leaders and members of the diplomatic community as part of the vital role she plays as a figurehead for the UK and Commonwealth," the post's caption read. "This evening, The Queen, with The Prince of Wales, The Duchess of Cornwall and The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, attended a @G7 leaders reception hosted by Prime Minister @borisjohnsonuk."

Earlier in the day, Kate Middleton met with Jill Biden for a visit to Connor Downs Academy in Hayle, England.

"It was great to host Dr. Jill Biden and experts from the UK and the United States for a discussion on the importance of early childhood on lifelong outcomes, and how we can work together to make a difference," the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge's team wrote in a post about the visit on Instagram. "The importance of providing support for parents and children alike during early childhood, and the positive impact that this can have across society, is something we share a great passion for. Next week, The Duchess is looking forward to sharing a major announcement about how she is working to elevate the importance of early childhood and continue the conversation on this vital issue."
