QMJHL Roundup: Francis, Reynolds both pot hat tricks to lead Sea Dogs over Titan

Ryan Francis had three goals and six points and Peter Reynolds potted a hat trick and an assist as the Saint John Sea Dogs toppled the Acadie-Bathurst Titan 9-2 on Tuesday in Quebec Major Junior Hockey League play.

Brady Burns and Nicholas Girouard each added a goal and two helpers while Josh Lawrence rounded out the offence for the Sea Dogs (15-12-4).

Bennett MacArthur and Jacob Melanson scored for the Titan (18-10-2).

Saint John netminder Zachary Emond made 20 saves for the win. Chad Arensault gave up six goals on 23 shots in two periods of work for Acadie-Bathurst before Jan Bednar took over for the third and made 12 saves on 15 shots.



CHARLOTTETOWN —Brett Budgell scored once and set up two more, and the Islanders (33-5-0) got goals from eight different skaters to hammer Halifax (15-17-9) for their 18th win in their last 19 contests.
