It’s long been rumoured that the Pussycat Dolls were set to make a comeback and now, Nicole Scherzinger and co have revealed that the girl band is regrouping ahead of a nine-show UK tour in April 2020.

Along with Ashley Roberts, Jessica Sutta, Carmit Bachar and Kimberly Wyatt, the 41-year-old was forced to confirmed their reunion after her fellow X Factor judge Louis Walsh let slip that they’d be performing on the talent contest’s celebrity spin-off series this coming weekend.

"You know who's coming on? The Pussycat Dolls are the special guests!" the Irish music manager told Lorraine Kelly during a live broadcast on Monday 25 November.

"Half the time, Louis doesn't even know what he's talking about, so I was just surprised he got that one right," teased Scherzinger as they discussed his ‘accidental’ reveal with BBC News.

"You could see in his face though," Bachar laughed. "After he said it, he was like 'did I just drop the ball?'"

Talking about their decision to make music together again after ten years apart, Wyatt explained that “there’s some unfinished business with the Pussycat Dolls.”

She added: "It's been a few years in the making. We're ready to get out there and do what we love, and the stars aligned. We've all been busy making babies and all those kinds of things.”

The Pussycat Dolls split in 2010, having made just two albums together. The newly-reformed group - along with non-returning member Melody Thornton - topped the UK charts with hits ‘Don’t Cha’ and ‘Stickwithu’ in the years prior.

Since then, Roberts has appeared on Ant & Dec’s Saturday Night Takeaway, I’m a Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here! and Strictly Come Dancing while Wyatt judged on Got to Dance and won Celebrity MasterChef.

Aside from her involvement on The X Factor, Scherzinger launched a successful solo career over here, achieving number one in the UK singles chart with her song ‘Don’t Hold Your Breath’.
