Pulp Fiction stars reunite after 27 years for new action movie

Two of Hollywood's biggest icons – John Travolta and Bruce Willis – are set to star in Paradise City, a new action thriller from director Chuck Russell.

This will mark Travolta and Willis' first outing together in 27 years, since Quentin Tarantino's 1994 hit Pulp Fiction. According to Deadline, Paradise City is described to be "Miami Vice but with bounty hunters instead of cops". Awesome.

Willis will play a renegade bounty hunter named Ryan Swan, whose mission is to navigate the Hawaiian crime world seeking his revenge on Travolta's character, a kingpin who murdered his father.

Thai actress and model Praya Lundberg has also joined the cast as a fellow lead. Alongside her work in the entertainment industry, she was named Southeast Asia's first UNHCR Goodwill Ambassador in 2017.

Filming for the movie has started this week in Maui, Hawaii. The island plays a big part in the project, apparently, undoubtedly bringing a large amount of "paradise" to the proceedings.

The success of Pulp Fiction re-energised Willis and Travolta's careers, with the latter being nominated for an Oscar for his work. Willis played boxer Butch Coolidge and Travolta starred as mob enforcer Vincent Vega.

Before the Tarantino classic came along, Willis voiced baby Mikey to Travolta's Daddy James in rom-coms Look Who's Talking in 1989 and Look Who's Talking Too in 1990.

Paradise City is yet to announce a release date.
