The majority of a full season after they were thwarted at the last hurdle, Paris Saint-Germain will be hoping to prove their Champions League credentials for 2020/21 when they host Bayern Munich in the quarter-final, second leg.

Bayern beat PSG with methodical control and a sprinkling of quality in the final last season, but it’s advantage the French side at the halfway point in this tie after their 3-2 win in the first leg in Germany.

The fascinating tactical match-ups for this return fixture are many, but most notable is how Bayern, needing to score a minimum of two goals, will deal with PSG’s counter-attacking threat of Neymar, Angel Di Maria and Kylian Mbappe. The latter is second-top scorer in the Champions League with eight goals to his name so far.

Mauricio Pochettino will be hoping the defensive half of his team prove as impressive in this game as the attacking portion did in the first leg; if so, a place in the last four should be PSG’s to savour as they chase the elusive European glory which has thus far evaded them in this big-spending era of trophies.

Here’s everything you need to know ahead of the second leg.
