Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas Are Officially Parents

Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas welcomed their first child on January 15 via a surrogate.

"We are overjoyed to confirm that we have welcomed a baby via surrogate. We respectfully ask for privacy during this special time as we focus on our family," the Jonases announced on Instagram together last week. While they have not shared the name or photos of their baby, People revealed the sex of their child -- a girl.

Two days before the birth of their daughter, Vanity Fair published its feature with Chopra where she shared her thoughts on having kids. However, the actor did not mention that she and her husband were already expecting. "They're a big part of our desire for the future," she said. "By God's grace when it happens, it happens."

Chopra and Jonas tied the knot back in 2018 in India. The couple held two extravagant ceremonies -- one Hindu and one Christian -- at the Umaid Bhawan Palace in Jodhpur, with a total of 225 guests.
