This month, Princess Iman of Jordan married Jameel Alexander Thermiotis, a New York-based financier, in a glamorous ceremony at Beit Al-Urdon Palace in Amman, Jordan.

For the royal wedding on 12 March, the eldest daughter of King Abdullah II and Queen Rania Al-Abdullah of Jordan wore a long-sleeved white wedding gown with intricate floral embroidery and matching veil designed by Dior's creative director Maria Grazia Chirui.

Christian Dior recently shared some details of the dress, explaining, "The gown is imbued with beloved codes of the House like flourishes of florals on the lace neckline and sleeves," as well as some close-up pictures documenting Princess Iman's timeless beauty look.

Her make-up was the work of London-based artist Valeria Ferreira, who frequently works with A-listers such as Lily James, Simone Ashley and Anya Taylor-Joy – a face of Dior. For Princess Iman's big day, Ferreira curated ultra-blended smoky eyes in earth brown shades, full yet fluffy groomed brows, softly sculpted and radiant skin but with its real tone unmasked, and pillowy, polished lips in a sheer shade accentuating their natural beauty. While Ferreira's signature was at play, the make-up conformed to timeless bridal beauty codes, being an amplified version of the princess' signature style.

While the exact products used on H.R.H. at the wedding haven't been revealed, we presume Ferreira used all Dior make-up. Perhaps coincidentally, the look is not dissimilar to the softly enhanced, fresh-faced make-up worn by Meghan Markle when she married Prince Harry in May 2018 – her make-up artist, Daniel Martin, then a Dior brand ambassador.

It's thought Martin used the Dior Backstage Face & Body Foundation on Markle, which could have also been used on Princess Iman given its natural finish formula that's both waterproof and sweat-resistant. For Princess Iman's eye make-up, the Dior Backstage Eye Palette in 003 would achieve a very similar look. The secret weapon of many a make-up artist, the palette contains a primer, highlighter, eyeshadows and liner for the perfect long-lasting eye make-up. The princess' lip shade looks similar to the Dior Addict Lip Glow Oil in 012 Rosewood, although for longevity we'd recommend applying a lip liner in a similar shade beneath (something like the Dior Contour Lip Liner Pencil in shade 100).

For her hair, Princess Iman channelled another classic bridal style, but with a contemporary nod. Crafted into a loose chignon at the nape of her neck, loose tendrils framed her face in front of her tiara which was worn both with and without the veil. Unfussy but feminine, while traditional the finish felt relaxed – befitting of any bride, not just a royal one.
