On Friday, Princess Beatrice surprised royal fans when she wed her fiancé, property mogul Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi, in a small private ceremony in Windsor on Friday. Having previously postponed their wedding due to the coronavirus outbreak, Beatrice and Mapelli Mozzi decided to hold a low-key wedding with only their nearest and dearest in attendance.

Beatrice has always exhibited an innate closeness with her sister, Princess Eugenie, but with her small wedding, the older York sister had the chance to show off her own unique style.

Royal fans will remember that Princess Eugenie wed Jack Brooksbank on October 12, 2018, in a grand ceremony at St. George's Chapel in Windsor Castle. The bride wore a stunning gown by Peter Pilotto, designed to accentuate her scars from childhood scoliosis surgery. The bride changed into a blush pink Zac Posen gown for the evening ceremony, with both looks being suitably grand for her very public royal wedding.

Meanwhile, Princess Beatrice opted for a completely different vibe for her low-key nuptials. The bride borrowed a stunning dress from her grandmother, the queen. The ivory outfit was designed by Norman Hartnell. Made from Peau De Soie taffeta, and trimmed with ivory Duchess satin, the gorgeous bridal look was encrusted with diamanté.

The bride worked with Angela Kelly and Stewart Parvin to fit and remodel the dress to her requirements. By choosing a bridal look with such a personal connection to the monarch, Beatrice showcased her own unique style as a member of the royal family. Fans will be delighted to see the sisters' wedding photos side-by-side, especially as each has their own distinctive style.

Buckingham Palace previously announced in a statement that Beatrice's "wedding took place in accordance with all relevant Government Guidelines," amid the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.
