Despite being one of the most famous couples on the planet (second only to Kim Kardashian and Pete Davidson), Prince William and Kate Middleton have done a pretty good job at keeping their romantic life hidden from the public eye. That being said though, they're only human and sometimes they do let a little PDA slip out – with their most recent moment of romance having been caught on TikTok.

In a now-viral clip shared by TikToker Jimmy Rex on the social media platform, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge can be seen holding hands as they walk through the lobby of their hotel during their royal trip to the Caribbean earlier this year. "This couple staying in the Bahamas had 35 security guards!" the TikToker jokingly said in the caption, referencing just how tricky it is for the pair to go under the radar when they're travelling with such an entourage.

The sweet PDA captured in the video did not go unnoticed by royal fans – racking up over 50k likes – who flocked to the comments section to show their appreciation for the happy couple. "They are holding hands. Yay!" said one person, with another commenting: "Lovely to see them holding hands." A third person wrote, "So lovely," while someone else commented, "Love them 🥰🥰 wish I had seen it."

"So interesting to see them holding hands, I['ve] never seen them doing it in the media," a fifth royal fan added.

But perhaps the couple's decision to follow royal protocol by keeping their PDA to a minimum could soon become a thing of the past, as it's been reported that the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge have plans to change how things are done. In fact, Prince William and Kate Middleton are thinking to strip back royal formalities when they become head of the British Monarchy. "They want to be more approachable, less formal, less stuffy and break away with a lot of the tradition," a source told The Mirror of the pair's plans for the future, following the mixed reviews they received after their royal Jubilee tour.

One way they plan on doing this is by losing their royal titles, instead having people call them by their first names. "The general consensus was that the tour seemed out of date, out of touch, too formal and stuffy," the insider added. "So now it’s more 'Wills and Kate' instead of the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge."
