Prince William just told fans a major dad joke on US trip

Many of us will have heard our fair share of dad jokes in the past. Whether it's round the dinner table or out shopping, dads seemingly have an endless supply of ~jokes~ up their sleeves that come out at the best – and sometimes worst – times. And, as a father-of-three, Prince William is no exception to that, as a handful of royal fans in the US just discovered.

Whilst out greeting crowds at Piers Park, the future King made a comment about the cold weather in Boston, where temperatures can get as low as -2 degrees celsius at this time of year. Keeping his hands in his pockets for the majority of the visit, William laughed: "When I can feel them again, they'll come back out."

Nevertheless, the Prince of Wales did make reference to how cold it gets here in the UK, meaning that he and wife Kate Middleton are more acclimatised to the chillier temperature. "We’re better in cold weather rather than hot weather, so it’s fine," he added.

During their outing to Piers Park, the Prince and Princess of Wales wrapped up tight. William wore a navy jacket layered over a cosy knit jumper, coordinating with Kate's berry-toned coat and scarf.

Later, the couple had a homely encounter, when a young boy – dressed as a Buckingham Palace guard, complete with a bearskin hat – came to meet them. William and Kate were clearly thrilled to see the young fan, who gifted them with a bouquet of flowers.
