Prince Harry Is Officially Back In California After More Than A Week In England

Prince Harry has returned home to California following his trip to England for the funeral of his grandfather Prince Philip. According to The Daily Mail, Harry flew to L.A. on a flight that arrived Tuesday afternoon, and was then driven to his home in Montecito. His return comes after more than a week in the United Kingdom, and just one day before his grandmother Queen Elizabeth's 95th birthday (which is today, April 21).

Apparently, Harry was "conflicted" about whether or not to stay for the Queen's birthday, but ultimately decided it was important to return home to his wife, Duchess Meghan Markle, who is pregnant with the couples' second child.

Harry's trip home was an emotional one—on top of mourning the loss of his grandfather, the Duke of Sussex also reunited with his family for the first time since his bombshell Oprah interview. Prince Harry and Prince William were seen talking in public directly after the service, and then the brothers reportedly joined their father for over two hours of "peace talks."

It's unclear how the conversation progressed, but a source tells The Mirror that things between William and Harry are still still “extremely frosty,” while Vanity Fair royal reporter Katie Nicholl spoke to a source who said Charles is “desperate” to reconcile with his son. Meanwhile, The Sun reports that Kate Middleton joined Harry, William, and Charles for talks at Frogmore, with their source saying “Harry obviously felt outnumbered as there are three of them and only one of him so wanted it to be on his home turf."

Prince Harry is expected to return to England again in just a few months for the unveiling of Princess Diana's statue in Kensington Gardens, which he and Prince William commissioned jointly.
