Prince Harry just discussed those naked Las Vegas photos

Prince Harry is the probably-not-so-proud protagonist of one of the royal family's most controversial moments. In August 2012, a then-28-year-old Prince Harry was on holiday in Las Vegas when he was photographed on a mobile phone wearing... just a necklace.

The compromising incident apparently took place in the royal's Vegas suite following a game of strip billiards, and there was a naked woman also pictured in the leaked images. Naturally, being one of the most high profile men in the world, the photos were sold and splashed around the world, resulting in a whole lot of shame for the royal family.

Two years on from the event, Harry opened up about it in an interview with Man of the World, and appeared regretful about his actions. "It was probably a classic case of me being too much Army and not enough prince. It's a simple case of that," he said.

A lot has happened since then - namely, Prince Harry has left his working royal duties and relocated to California with his wife, Meghan Markle. And the Vegas fiasco has generally been forgotten. But during an appearance on Dax Shepard's Armchair Expert podcast, which was released this week, the Duke of Sussex was probed once more on the naked pictures.

Presenter Dax boldly dived straight into it, telling Harry: "You're the only one I ever knew [from the Royal Family] and simply because you were in those awesome nude photos in Vegas."

The typically chill Prince responded casually, saying, "You're constantly looking for other people to balance out your own behaviour, right? It's relatable."

And then Dax went on to compliment Prince Harry's fine physique at the time. "On top of that I was like, '[he's] got a good body!' You were in tremendous shape," said the podcast presenter. Clearly unused to discussing his body, Harry uncomfortably thanked Dax before explaining his good shape was all down to his intense army training. "That was a few weeks before I went to Afghanistan," he commented.

On a slightly deeper note, the conversation turned to drink, drugs and partying, with Dax Shepard opening up about his misuse of substances in the past. Clearly leaving Prince Harry feeling reflective about his own "wild" days - perhaps the Vegas incident being one of them - he said: "I certainly didn't have the awareness when I was going wild, like why am I actually doing this? In the moment it's like, why not? I'm in my twenties, it's what I'm supposed to do, isn't it?"

From the way Prince Harry speaks, it sounds like he's done a lot of work trying to understand himself and the experiences he's gone through. And evidently it's been for the greater good, with the royal now being able to truly enjoy life.

"Living here [in Los Angeles] now I can actually lift my head and I feel different, my shoulders have dropped, so have [Meghan's], you can walk around feeling a little bit more free," he said.
