Prince Charles and Prince Harry are having "secret talks" to help mend their rift ahead of the Queen's upcoming Platinum Jubilee, according to The Sun. A source tells the outlet that Harry “reached out” to his father, saying “There has been a definite thaw in relations between Harry and Charles. They are on much better terms and have been having friendly chats and video calls."

“It has been suggested to Harry he may live to regret any lingering family bitterness, and he has taken that on board," the source continued. “There is a feeling he is coming back more into the fold and wants to be closer to his family.”

Apparently, Palace officials think Harry will head back to the UK this summer for a visit around the Jubilee in June, though it's unclear if Duchess Meghan and their children will come with. It's also unclear whether the Sussexes will return to England for Prince Philip's memorial in the Spring, especially given security concerns.

Harry is hoping to get police protection when traveling home, which he and Meghan no longer have access to, and which makes being in England risky. The Duke's legal spokesperson released a statement explaining the situation, saying in part, “The Duke and Duchess of Sussex personally fund a private security team for their family, yet that security cannot replicate the necessary police protection needed whilst in the UK. In the absence of such protection, Prince Harry and his family are unable to return to his home.”
