When Haynes was eight years old, he was diagnosed with a heart disease called "hypertrophic cardiomyopathy," often called "the sudden death disease." When he was 14 years old, he had an internal defibrillator placed. However, during Tuesday's episode, Haynes was just grateful to be alive and well… and on Team Blake Shelton, who tweeted live during the episode, saying: "To say it’s an honor to have you on Team Blake would be the understatement of the century!
