Popular Columbia hot dog bar to expand to a second location

Greedy Rascals, the popular hot dog bar in Rosewood, is set to expand to a second location in Columbia.

The new storefront will be located at 655 St. Andrews Road, next door to the U.S. Foods Chef’Store.

The restaurant’s second location plans to offer guests the new “Greedy Zone” arcade, which will feature multiple arcade games, basketball and air hockey, owner Brandon Johnson confirmed to The State.

The shop is expected to open Aug. 21, Johnson said.

Currently, Greedy Rascals operates a permanent storefront located at 1900 Rosewood Drive as well as a food truck that caters events, private parties, festivals and more.

The restaurant is best known for its gourmet hot dogs but additionally offers burgers, sandwiches and lots of dessert options.

One of the restaurant’s unique specialties is the “dessert dog,” which is a sweet and savory combination — similar to a corndog, but with cake, said Johnson.

“It’s delicious,” said Johnson.
