Yahoo Movies PlayStation Plus Essential free games for April 2023 announced
PlayStation has announced April's free games for the Essential tier, which you'll be able to claim for a month from Tuesday, April 4.
As a reminder, Essential is the base tier that lets you play online. Every month there are three to five games you need to claim within that time period, which you can then access as long as your account has an active subscription.

Leading the pack is Meet Your Maker (PS5/PS4), a game that is releasing day one on Plus. It's a post-apocalyptic game where you build the levels, named Outposts, and fill them full of traps and tough encounters.
Then you try to raid other people's Outposts, choosing from multiple classes. There are co-op options for both building and raiding, so there's double the chances to start an argument with a mate.

There's also Sackboy: A Big Adventure (PS5/PS4), the LittleBigPlanet spin-off, which plays like a straightforward platformer but still lets you customise your little knitted person, features the voices of Dawn French and Richard E Grant, and has levels set to 'Uptown Funk' and 'Toxic'. What more could you want?
Tails of Iron (PS5/PS4) is the third and final freebie. It's a charmingly hand-drawn RPG, which is lovely isn't it? It's also "punishingly brutal", which is less lovely, but, if you're a masochist, then it might be right up your street.

You've got until the end of Monday, May 1 to add these games to your account.
Once claimed, they will be available to download and play as long as your account has an active PS Plus Essential (or higher) subscription, even if you let your sub lapse and go back to it.
