Players Pray on Field After Damar Hamlin Cardiac Arrest

Players from the Buffalo Bills and Cincinnati Bengals prayed on the field as Bills safety Damar Hamlin was taken to a hospital after he collapsed during the game between the two football teams on Monday, January 2.

The Buffalo Bills tweeted that Hamlin had suffered a cardiac arrest following a hit during the game. The team said his heartbeat was restored on the field and he was transferred to the University of Cincinnati Medical Center for further testing and treatment. “He is currently sedated and listed in critical condition,” the Bills said.

ESPN reported that Hamlin received CPR for a number of minutes before being taken off the field.
