The new Pitch Perfect TV series has added another star of the movie franchise to its cast.

The Peacock show, which was announced last year and already has a full series order, previously confirmed the return of Adam Devine – aka Bumper Allen – with events set a few years after 2017's threequel.

It's now been confirmed that Flula Borg (Pieter Krämer) will also be part of the show, having last been seen in Pitch Perfect 2 as the co-leader of the Bellas' rivals Das Sound Machine.

In the new show, Bumper moves to Germany in an attempt to revive his music career and pursue his dreams after one of his songs becomes a hit in Berlin. He is invited by Pieter, who is now a music manager and signs Bumper as his sole client.

The series is executive produced by Pitch Perfect stalwart Elizabeth Banks, who starred in the series and directed the second outing.

"Our upcoming Pitch Perfect series is another example of the unmatched synergy NBCUniversal is able to expand upon with our wide-ranging library of IP," Susan Rovner, chairman of entertainment content for NBCUniversal Television and Streaming, previously said.

"And to top it off, we are so fortunate that Adam Devine is headlining the series and bringing fans the quirky, laugh-out-loud sensibility they loved in the film franchise."

The Pitch Perfect TV series will air on Peacock in the US.
