Firefighters have rescued a horse after it got trapped in a sinkhole.

County Durham and Darlington Fire and Rescue announced that they rescued the horse after it got stuck in the hole.

Photos show the horse, which is believed to be a piebald cob, jammed inside the sinkhole, with only its head popping out.
