Pete Buttigieg faces criticism for posing in a photo at Holocaust Memorial
Indiana Mayor Pete Buttigieg of South Bend is facing criticism after a 2017 Instagram photo of him posing at the Holocaust Memorial resurfaced.
His husband, Chasten Buttigieg, posted the photo of the mayor at the memorial in Berlin, Germany, with the caption, "This Guy."

Many people have taken to social media to slam the presidential hopeful, calling the photo disrespectful and insensitive.
Yikes. The only people who don’t find this disrespectful are the people who don’t know what Chasten Buttigieg meant by “This guy.” https://t.co/7adz14I2Dz

"As someone who lost relatives in the Holocaust, including my great grandparents, your using this to smear Pete is absolutely appalling to me. Try a little self-reflection," one woman tweeted.
The Democratic candidate isn't the first person to come under fire for posing at the memorial. Singer Pink defended her two kids after she was criticized for sharing a photo of them running through the Holocaust Memorial.
Buttigieg is polling well in the 2020 Democratic field and is now in the top tier in Iowa along with fellow candidates Sen. Bernie Sanders and Joe Biden.
