In-person ceremony held this year for Fallen Heroes Day

This year, for the first time in a year, families of fallen officers, firefighters and emergency personnel gathered in person at Dulaney Valley Memorial Gardens for Fallen Heroes Day. Every year, Maryland remembers and pays tribute to those who died in the line of duty. The event was closed to the public due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Delmar police Cpl. Keith Heacook was among those remembered during the service on Friday. Heacook was attacked while responding to a call last week. He died from his injuries at Shock Trauma in Baltimore days later.
