People are already complaining about one bit of Stranger Things s4

Stranger Things season 4 is just around the corner, it's out on 27th May. And while we've all been eagerly anticipating the new series for a solid three years, recent info about the upcoming instalment has promoted one or two complaints from fans. If you can you believe it, this time it's not about justice for Barb (more's the pity).

The last series of Stranger Things to air over on Netflix came out in 2019. So, frankly at this point we deserve all the medals. And while the fourth season of the hit show is set to return to the streamer later this month, maybe all the waiting has people just a little cranky? Because fans aren't too keen on this finale news.

Essentially, earlier this week show creators Ross and Matt Duffer, aka the Duffer Brothers, spoke about the upcoming season during an interview and explained that it's going to be the longest season the Netflix show has ever seen.

First off, the nine episode season will be split into two volumes, the first being released on 27 May and the second in July. Plus, where individual episodes usually run at 45 minutes each, in this series they'll each run for more than an hour. But that's not even the biggest surprise...

Speaking to The Wrap about what they referred to as "mega-long episodes" Matt explained, "Seven and nine in particular are movies, and nine is a long movie."

Ross then expanded, "We’re still refining it but we will say that it is over two hours. It’s a big one."

Obviously, this was always going to get a big reaction from fans, with some overjoyed at the idea of more of a good thing, while others just weren't sure they had 2+ hours in the tank.

It's a lot of time sure, but hey, pause it halfway through and it's just two hour-long episodes. Problem solved...
