Lux Pascal, the younger sister of The Last of Us star Pedro Pascal, has landed her next role.

Upcoming thriller Summer War, adapted from Chilean author Roberto Bolaño’s novel The Third Reich, will "centre on a US champion of the board game Third Reich whose peaceful summer holiday in 1989 is shattered when a tourist mysteriously disappears at sea," according to ScreenDaily.

Chilean director Alicia Scherson helms the project, which is slated to begin production this summer.

Lux has starred in a number of Spanish-language films and TV shows, including 2019’s La Jauría, and appeared alongside her brother in season three of Netflix's hit series Narcos.

In 2021, she came out as trans and opened up about her journey in Spanish magazine Ya, explaining: "My transition has been something that's very natural for everyone in my family. It's almost something that they expected to happen."

Lux also revealed how Pedro played a crucial role in her transition, adding: "He's also an artist and has served as a guide for me. He was one of the first people to gift me the tools that started shaping my identity."

Sharing further support for his sister, Pedro reposted the magazine's front cover to his Instagram and captioned it: "My sister, my heart, our Lux."

In other news, it was recently confirmed that Pedro has been cast as Reed Richards/Mr. Fantastic in Marvel's highly-anticipated Fantastic Four movie.

He'll star alongside Vanessa Kirby, who will portray Sue Storm (aka the Invisible Woman), while Joseph Quinn is confirmed for the role of Johnny Storm/the Human Torch and Ebon Moss-Bachrach will play Ben Grimm (aka the Thing).

The Fantastic Four will be released on July 25, 2025.
