Yahoo Movies Peaky Blinders reveals touching tribute to star Helen McCrory
The late Helen McCrory has been remembered by her co-stars and crew on the Peaky Blinders set.
Helen passed away last week after battling cancer at the age of 52. It was her husband Damian Lewis who confirmed the sad news on social media on Friday (April 16).
On Monday (April 19), the official Peaky Blinders Instagram account commemorated the actress by posting an image of a clapperboard which featured a drawing of Helen's face in her role as Aunt Polly, accompanied with the words "Rest in Peace Helen."
The caption for the image reads: "Forever part of the Peaky Blinders family."
The image was taken by the show's director Anthony Byrne who also posted it to his personal social media and wrote a heartfelt caption remembering his colleague.

He shared an emotional caption, explaining the meaning of the clapperboard: "Today was beautiful and strange and sad and surreal. We found ourselves in the most beautiful environment. The sun beating down on us and it felt ok. It was incredible but not surprising to read the many tributes and articles dedicated to Helen over the weekend.
"This is our ‘A’ camera board and Polly Gray is always in front of our cameras. This board was designed by @lo_marie_s a super talented tattoo artist in Manchester.
"It has meant a huge amount to me and the crew on Peaky to have an image of Helen on set with us every day. Thanks to @francesca.caterina for marking up the clapper board like that."

Anthony's also described his reaction to Helen's passing as one of sorrow: "Many glasses were raised to Helen in Manchester on Friday night. Helen was a force of nature and her loss to film, tv and theatre is immense. More than that, it is the loss of the great work she would’ve gone on to do," he wrote in an Instagram caption.
"I am honoured to have worked with her telling the story of the Shelby’s and watching her talent shine as the matriarch Polly Gray. She will be greatly missed by the Peaky family."
