Patrick, Brittany Mahomes host gender reveal party for second child

Patrick Mahomes soon will add one more title to his growing list of accolades: father of two.

The Kansas City Chiefs quarterback and his wife Brittany announced they soon will be having a baby boy. Brittany, who married Patrick in March, shared the news on Twitter by posting a video from the family’s gender reveal party.

Those attending the party were asked at the start of the video to guess the baby’s gender. Anyone who guessed boy was quickly vindicated as the Mahomes’ paint-filled squirt guns sprayed shades of blue onto the white wall. After a quick photo op, the Super Bowl 54 MVP took a celebratory plunge in the pool.

Mahomes teased during the final days of Chiefs minicamp that a gender reveal was to be announced soon.

“I’m extremely excited,” Mahomes said. “The gender reveal is coming up soon. Hopefully we get a boy, but I’ll love him or her either way. It’s going to be awesome.”

The Mahomes' first child, daughter Sterling Skye Mahomes, was born in February 2021.

Now, the only thing left to do is to take guesses at baby names. With a son on the way, will we be getting a Patrick Mahomes III?
